Homegrown Larch

Homegrown Larch is a kiln-dried, FSC-rated softwood that is produced and machined in the UK by Premier Forest Products. As the larch is homegrown, it is a more environmentally sustainable option than imported wood from outside of the UK. This also improves the carbon footprint of the wood as it won't have travelled as far to reach your home.

With a rustic, natural appearance, homegrown larch has many more knots appearing throughout the grain than the imported larch and the wood has a pink or red tone if left untreated. The larch will also fade to a subtle silvery grey colour over time which will create a beautiful look for your home. Homegrown larch also has a great performance record as it contains a higher natural resin content than the imported species. This also makes it stronger and more resistant to mould, rot and decay. It has a great life expectancy of around 20-25 years (if not in contact with the ground), making it a versatile option for any household project.

Here at Mill Timber Direct, we stock a wide range of homegrown larch cladding which can be used for improvement projects on your property either internally or externally. Internal cladding can add an interesting focal point to your room and external cladding can enhance the exterior of your property and help with insulation and protection from the weather. In our homegrown larch range, we stock feather edge cladding, shiplap cladding, vertical and horizontal shadow gap cladding, screen cladding and v-joint cladding. There is something in our collection for every home improvement project.

As we frequently have many of our cladding products in stock, our expected delivery time is usually 3-5 working days (subject to confirmation). We can also supply everything else you need for your cladding project, including all fittings and wall battens. We can also offer free delivery to selected locations if your order is over £480.
