Ringshank Nails

Ringshank nails, also known as deformed shank nails, are the ones to use when you need superior holding power. Ringshank nails have ridges along their body which allow them to 'grip' materials more firmly than their smooth shanked counterparts. These ridges, which are very similar to those on a screw, sit within wood fibres, making the nail more difficult to dislodge. Ringshank nails are routinely used in construction, especially roofing. They are also particularly well designed for use in softwood, as the ridges help to give added grip where other nails might struggle to stay in place over time. They can also be used on drywall, decking and flooring, or indeed anywhere you need strength and longevity.

Mill Timber Direct has an extensive range of ringshank nails for you to explore from manufacturers including Exocet. We offer a wide selection of ringshank nail sizes, including 30mm, 40mm, 50mm and 65mm. Our bright nails are not coated and therefore ideally suited to internal projects, while our galvanised ringshank nails are plated to make them suitable for external projects. Our sherardised ringshank nails are resistant to corrosion, too, so they are also ideal for outdoor applications such as decking. Some of our ringshank nails are suitable for use with specific nail guns. Purchase them in 500g, 1kg or 2.5kg packages, depending on your needs.
